UNAC/UHCP-AFSCME Activists to Staff Mobile Medical Van

Registered nurses who are members of UNAC/UHCP-AFSCME will staff the mobile medical van that will be at the ready to aid walkers. Here’s what one of the nurses has to say about supporting the Hollywood to the Docks march:

“It’s a great thing people are taking on this challenge to walk for employee rights,” says Jeannine Menzies, a 20-plus-year nurse who works at Kaiser South Bay. “I can’t walk 28 miles, but I can contribute because I have medical knowledge. The power of all the unions together is amazing. It is just amazing that we can get together and support all the employees at the same time.”
